The West…Redefined offers unique workshops for photographers who want to capture the stunning vistas and enchantments of the American West and other venues around the globe. Workshops are tailored to novice, intermediate, and advanced photographers and delivered by award-winning photographers Bobbie Goodrich and Susan Lei Burns. Join us on a photographic journey and become the photographer you always knew you could be!
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ALL OF OUR SANTA FE WORKSHOPS:
- Photo shoots in and around beautiful Santa Fe.
- In-field instruction on camera settings, i.e. for shooting running horses and action.
- Downloading, Editing and Workflow techniques.
- Step-by-step demonstrations and instruction in basic Photoshop techniques and all the NIK Software filters.
- We will use Define, Viveza 2, Color Efex Pro and Silver Efex Pro.
- Handouts on all topics covered.
- Critique and Evaluation of your work.
- Individual attention when needed or requested.
- Post-production set-up in our beautiful, retreat-like, studio setting just outside Santa Fe.
- Wine & Cheese every evening
- Light, healthy lunch on days we are in the digital lab from 9 am to 5 pm.
- Lots of creative camaraderie and support… we learn a lot from each other at our workshops!!!

Africa … Redefined 2012: The Great Photographic Wanders of Africa: Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia
November 5 – 18, 2012
We are combining three countries: Botswana, renowned for itʼs unspoiled beauty and home to almost all of Africa’s big game and wildlife; Zimbabwe, one of Africa’s most beautiful countries, finally opening up with fabulous new lodges and access to wildlife never before experienced; Zambia, and the Lower Zambezi, where we will photograph wildlife from the perspective of the Lower Zambezi River, renowned for itʼs herds of elephants crossing the river, and The Lower Zambezi National Park for photographing wildlife living in a unique ecosystem of palm trees and mopane woodlands.
We are also adding another dimension to our African experience, with a day visiting the villages along the Lower Zambezi, where we will visit a cultural center, some schools and sustainable farming and other projects that Cherri Briggs and Richard Wilson, owners of EXPLORE AFRICA, have been instrumental in funding with their Direct Impact Africa project.
