Join us for five, full, fall days at Zapata Ranch, our annual photography retreat in the San Luis Valley in southeastern Colorado (that’s sold out each year!).  The San Luis Valley is the highest, widest alpine valley in the world, and Zapata Ranch sits beautifully in this valley, surrounded by the drama of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range and the Great Sand Dunes National Park.  On 103,000 acres with 2,000 heads of bison, horses, the historic turn-of-the-century Medano Homestead … not to mention the  picturesque setting of this working ranch( a Nature Conservancy Ranch) … with wonderfully cozy cabins, great food cooked fresh by a renown chef  who has cooked for some of the famous families in America and  served family-style, lots of wine and  creative camera-derie, with intensive post-production sessions in an historic barn … this workshop is hard to beat and fills quickly.   Adjacent to the famous Great Sand Dunes National Park, we will also spend one day photographing these natural sand formations, some of which which heights of 700 feet!
